PROLOGUE
Summer rain hits the window in a calming rhythm. The room slowly darkens except for a pink glow emanating from the ceiling light. A shadowy figure paces back and forth behind a sheer curtain. For those on the streets below, life goes on as usual, but inside Apartment 7A, the concept of the usual, the ordinary, and the mundane is quickly fading. Normality seemed to drain out of the room and seep into the snap-and-stick floorboards… just like the blood pooling beneath Liana’s feet.
